Litigation Attorney
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with at least five years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through trial and appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals.
- Draft and review legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients and internal teams.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications effectively.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or arbitration when appropriate.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Alabama (in good standing).
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil or commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Alabama state and federal court procedures.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with complex litigation or class actions.
- Familiarity with electronic discovery tools and case management software.
- Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
