Client Accounting & Advisory Services Senior Associate – Family Office Services

A boutique accounting and advisory firm in Reno is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Family Office Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working closely with high-net-worth individuals and their advisors to manage complex financial needs with discretion and care.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, year-round support and insightful advice.
What You’ll Do:
- Support full-cycle accounting processes including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly close
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and supporting workpapers
- Supervise accounts payable and review work of Family Office staff
- Reconcile bank, brokerage, and credit card accounts
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company account analysis
- Prepare year-end 1099 reporting and assist with tax package preparation
- Respond to client inquiries and manage special projects as needed
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or a family office setting
- Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, and tax fundamentals
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, CCH, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive client information
- Experience with estate planning, investment reporting, and trust accounting (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 annually (flexible)
- 401(k) with up to 4% employer match
- Discretionary profit sharing after 90 days

Work Schedule:
- Busy Season: 50-60 hours/week
- Non-Busy Season: 40 hours/week
