Client Accounting & Advisory Services Senior Associate – Family Office Services

Location: Reno, NV | Hybrid in Reno, NV or Remote in Nevada

A boutique accounting and advisory firm in Reno is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Family Office Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working closely with high-net-worth individuals and their advisors to manage complex financial needs with discretion and care.

Our team of 16 professionals serves a diverse client base including family offices, real estate developers, medical professionals, and small businesses. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, year-round support and insightful advice.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support full-cycle accounting processes including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly close
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and supporting workpapers
  • Supervise accounts payable and review work of Family Office staff
  • Reconcile bank, brokerage, and credit card accounts
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company account analysis
  • Prepare year-end 1099 reporting and assist with tax package preparation
  • Respond to client inquiries and manage special projects as needed

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or a family office setting
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, and tax fundamentals
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, CCH, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive client information
  • Experience with estate planning, investment reporting, and trust accounting (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 annually (flexible)
  • 401(k) with up to 4% employer match
  • Discretionary profit sharing after 90 days

  • Paid or banked overtime (for non-exempt employees)

Work Schedule:

  • Busy Season: 50-60 hours/week
