Associate Attorney
The PI Associate Attorney is responsible for providing legal assistance and support to the Personal Injury (PI) practice group within the law firm. This includes conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in personal injury cases. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys and partners to ensure the successful resolution of client matters.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited law school and three (3) years’ experience in trial work and legal writing.
Must be a member of the Maryland Bar in good standing.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research on personal injury laws, regulations, and precedents
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
- Assist with case management and preparation for trials and hearings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
- Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients
- Attend court proceedings and represent clients effectively
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Stay updated on changes in personal injury laws and industry trends
