Business Development Manager – Retail & Hospitality Display Solutions

Location: Remote, Midwest

Travel: ~50%

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Salary Range: $110-$130k + UNCAPPED COMMISSION, OTE $220k+

The Role

This is a hunter’s seat – designed for someone who loves the pursuit as much as the win. You’ll build and grow relationships with brands, design agencies, and procurement teams, developing tailored solutions that showcase design, engineering, and manufacturing excellence.

Success in this role means owning your market, shaping strategy, and driving growth – not waiting for it.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business: Identify, engage, and win accounts in retail, QSR, and hospitality markets.
  • Create smart strategies: Build account plans that open doors, expand share, and generate profitable growth.
  • Lead with credibility: Present and position capabilities with confidence, clarity, and insight.
  • Orchestrate pursuits: Manage RFPs, proposals, and complex sales efforts that demand coordination and follow-through.
  • Collaborate to deliver: Partner closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure what is sold is what is delivered.
  • Forecast with accuracy: Keep your pipeline sharp and your reporting clean in Salesforce.
  • Stay market-aware: Bring fresh insights on materials, sustainability, and design trends that influence buying decisions.

What You Bring

  • 7-10 years of progressive business development or sales experience in retail fixtures, store environments, or related industries.
  • A track record of closing new business – not just managing existing accounts.
  • Strong strategic and consultative selling skills with an executive-level presence.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation capabilities.
  • CRM discipline (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • A reputation for being relentless, resourceful, and respected – someone who wins the right way.
