Conflicts Attorney
A leading global law firm with offices across multiple international markets is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its Risk Management and Conflicts Team. This role works closely with the Office of General Counsel and plays a key part in supporting the firm’s business intake, lateral hiring, and conflict resolution processes.
This is a fully remote U.S.-based position with an afternoon/evening schedule and occasional opportunities to work from or visit a local office.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze conflicts reports for new clients, new matters, and lateral attorney hires.
- Advise attorneys and firm leadership regarding conflict identification, risk assessment, and resolution strategies.
- Draft and negotiate conflict waivers and prepare ethical wall/screening memoranda.
- Review and maintain business intake information, engagement terms, and matter data.
- Analyze lateral candidate matter lists and assist with conflict clearance and waiver strategy.
- Provide guidance to conflicts analysts regarding research, reporting, corporate family structures, and conflict-related best practices.
- Prepare clear communications outlining potential ethical and business conflicts.
- Research and interpret applicable ethics rules and professional conduct standards.
- Monitor developments in professional responsibility rules, ethics opinions, and relevant case law.
- Participate in urgent matter support and periodic on-call coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- Active bar admission in New York, California, or Washington, D.C. required.
- Approximately 4+ years of conflicts attorney experience, preferably within a large, multi-office law firm environment.
- Strong understanding of professional responsibility, legal ethics, conflicts of interest, and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with U.S. Rules of Professional Conduct; international conflicts experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, research, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with attorneys and senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.
