Business Development Specialist – Corporate (Hybrid)

Location: Chicago, IL

Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support its Corporate practice. This role will work closely with attorneys and senior BD professionals to execute strategic initiatives that drive client engagement, enhance market visibility, and support revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with practice leaders to develop and implement business development plans for corporate transactional practices.
  • Prepare pitches, proposals, and RFP responses; maintain marketing materials and attorney bios.
  • Manage submissions for legal directories, rankings, and awards.
  • Conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends to inform BD strategies.
  • Coordinate events, sponsorships, and thought leadership initiatives to raise the firm’s profile.
  • Track and report on BD activities using CRM tools and analytics.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or marketing within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate transactional practices (M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets).
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office per week.
