Personal Injury Paralegal

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing legal team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation settlement. The ideal candidate has strong case management experience, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury files from inception through settlement

Conduct client intake and maintain consistent communication with clients, providers, and insurance carriers

Order, review, and summarize medical records and bills

Draft demand packages, correspondence, and settlement documents

Investigate claims, including gathering police reports, witness statements, and liability documentation

Monitor treatment progress and evaluate case value with attorneys

Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters under attorney supervision

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files within the case management system

Ensure compliance with deadlines, lien resolutions, and documentation requirements

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, specifically in pre-litigation

Strong understanding of personal injury law, insurance processes, and medical terminology

Proven experience drafting demand letters and negotiating settlements

Proficiency in case management software (e.g., Clio, Needles, Filevine, SmartAdvocate)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
