Role Overview
The Tax Senior Accountant will play a key role in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, managing client relationships, and supporting junior staff. This position offers exposure to diverse industries and challenging tax issues, with a clear path for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide mentorship.
- Communicate directly with clients to resolve questions and deliver exceptional service.
- Stay current on federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license or actively pursuing CPA preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
