About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Partner to lead and grow our healthcare audit practice, with a primary focus on Medicare and Medicaid audits and cost reporting for long-term nursing facilities. This is a unique opportunity to step into an established book of business and work with a team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service in the healthcare sector.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in healthcare compliance, cost reporting, and regulatory requirements, combined with strong leadership and client relationship skills. This position offers full remote flexibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Audit Engagements: Oversee Medicare and Medicaid audits for long-term care facilities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Cost Reporting Expertise: Prepare and review cost reports, analyze reimbursement methodologies, and advise clients on optimizing compliance and financial performance.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Practice Leadership: Provide strategic direction for the healthcare audit practice, mentor staff, and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on CMS regulations, state-specific requirements, and industry trends impacting long-term care facilities.
  • Business Development: Expand the healthcare audit portfolio through networking, thought leadership, and client referrals.

Qualifications

  • CPA License (active and in good standing).
  • 10+ years of public accounting experience, with significant exposure to healthcare audits.
  • Proven expertise in Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and reimbursement regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing audit teams.
  • Excellent communication and client advisory skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with partners and staff.
