Diversity, equity and inclusion

Authentic diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at any business must start from within.

We’re working to improve and develop our own DEI approach. It’s a process of constant learning which has already brought about positive changes.

Explore Diversity, equity and Inclusion

Our approach

We believe we can serve the professionals and businesses we work with far more effectively by constantly educating ourselves on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Through education and developing a deeper understanding of privilege and unconscious bias, we’re given the tools to understand everyone we work with beyond their profiles.

As a staffing company, we have a big opportunity to help make our business and our clients’ businesses more diverse, more inclusive and more progressive.

And through partnerships, internal training and meaningful actions, that journey has already begun.

Creating a better future

One of the many things we enjoy about being a business support and sales staffing firm is the opportunity it gives us to help people and companies achieve their ambitions.

But with that comes great responsibility. We understand that we have a huge role to play in making sure that everyone’s ambitions are met, and that diversity, equity and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.

This approach has informed a re-evaluation of our own DEI practices and several actions to ensure we’re doing everything in our power to create a better future – for everyone.

The actions we take

There are a number of specific actions we’ve taken to move our DEI strategy in a better direction:

Essential training

We provide mandatory DEI training to all employees around the world. We want to offer a deeper understanding of the kind of bias that informs many of our decisions, unknowingly

Sustainable network

We’ve signed up to the Mindful Business Charter, a framework to promote better mental health and wellbeing in the workplace

Purposeful volunteering

We offer inclusive volunteering for employees through a company called Benefacto, a fantastic way of integrating our people with the everyday challenges that exist on our doorsteps

Global partnerships

We partner with companies like Resurgo and Project Search to offer employment opportunities that enhance social mobility

Diverse recruitment

We’re committed to increasing diversity through tactics like removing universities from CVs or focusing on competence and potential, rather than backgrounds. It’s part of acknowledging that ‘company fit’ might itself be indicative of unconscious bias within a business

Progressive pioneers

We’ve revamped our internal hiring strategy by acknowledging that ‘company fit’ has a habit of attracting recruiters who look for very similar candidates. We’re committed to increasing diversity through tactics like removing qualifications from CVs or focusing on competence and potential, rather than backgrounds

Impactful initiatives

We have a dedicated DEI committee that holds responsibility for moving our strategy forward and reporting our progress to the board

Just the beginning

These actions represent the beginning of our DEI journey, rather than the end.

We’re constantly working These actions represent the beginning of our DEI journey, rather than the end.

We’re constantly working to improve our own methods and to bring in new perspectives on an issue that is so central to everything we do.

So, watch this space for new partnerships and new learnings.
