Position Overview

The Tax Administrator supports the tax department by ensuring smooth, organized, and efficient administrative operations. This role assists partners, managers, and tax staff with workflow coordination, document management, and client communication.

Ideal for a detail‑oriented administrative professional seeking a long‑term role in a collaborative public accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize incoming client tax documents
  • Prepare engagement letters, tax organizers, and electronic signature packets
  • Track tax return workflow progress and maintain internal status reports
  • Assist in assembling and finalizing tax returns for client delivery
  • Handle electronic filing submissions and monitor acceptance notices
  • Maintain accurate digital client records and databases
  • Coordinate internal and client scheduling
  • Support billing processes, including invoice preparation and payment tracking
  • Assist with onboarding for new tax clients
  • Participate in process improvement and documentation projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of administrative experience; public accounting or professional services preferred
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes of digital documents
  • Experience with any tax or accounting software
