A Delaware-based commercial real estate law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate, Land Use, and Zoning Paralegal to support its expanding transactional and land use practice. This role involves working closely with attorneys and fellow paralegals on sophisticated matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, time management, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities for several attorneys
  • Paralegal experience in commercial real estate, land use, or related transactional fields preferred
  • Ability to commute to New Castle, DE five days per week

Role Responsibilities

Experience will include:

  • Preparing for land use public hearings and coordinating with engineers, architects, and consultants
  • Conducting property and code research
  • Serving as a communication point across matters and municipalities
  • Handling title work, including title searches, commitments, and policies
  • Preparing closing and conveyance documents (deeds, affidavits, settlement statements)
  • Managing recording procedures and Secretary of State filings
  • Calculating and prorating closing costs
