We are seeking a full-time Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our Washington, DC office. This role will support attorneys handling complex medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to review and summarize medical records and coordinate litigation support. While nursing experience or credentials (RN, LPN) are strongly preferred, they are not required. Hybrid arrangement, 4-day in office, 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records and other relevant documentation.
  • Draft medical chronologies and case summaries.
  • Assist in identifying and coordinating with expert witnesses.
  • Maintain case calendars, schedule appointments, and manage deadlines.
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation, including document preparation, evidence tracking, and legal research.
  • Conduct factual research and compile supporting information to strengthen legal arguments.
  • Perform other administrative and case-related duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, preferably in medical malpractice or personal injury law.
  • Nursing background or clinical experience (RN, LPN, or similar) is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in office software and legal case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
