Associate Attorney
About the Role
A well‑established defense litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Chesterbrook office. This is an excellent opportunity for mid‑level litigators to gain broad exposure across diverse practice areas, including insurance defense, personal injury, construction, and commercial disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex litigation matters.
- Conduct depositions, draft and argue motions, and participate in hearings.
- Communicate directly with clients, including billing and reporting responsibilities.
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues while managing cases independently.
- Contribute to trial and arbitration preparation; prior participation is preferred.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of litigation experience (defense background preferred).
- Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; admission in New York is a strong plus.
- Strong deposition, motion practice, and client communication skills.
- Experience in trial or arbitration is highly valued.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative yet independent environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation $115,000 – $145,000 + bonus
- Billable Hours Requirement: 1,800/year (recently reduced from 2,000).

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid: Minimum of 1 day per week onsite at Chesterbrook office.
- Standard hours: 9-5 (flexibility available); office staffed 7:30-6 with support staff.
- Each associate is assigned a legal secretary; paralegals are case‑assigned.
