Associate Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join our established legal team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience handling personal injury cases, a strong litigation background, and a commitment to client advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and assess case value
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements
- Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to reach favorable outcomes
- Prepare for and conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to manage caseload efficiently
- Stay current with New York personal injury laws and court procedures
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active NY Bar license in good standing
- 1 to 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes and client satisfaction
- Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills
- Excellent legal writing and research abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases with professionalism and attention to detail
